Lagos State Government Distributes Twenty Thousand Ounje Eko Bags To Religious Organisations.

As part of efforts to cushion the effects of the economic hardship in the Country, the Lagos State Government has donated Twenty Thousand bags of Ounje Eko to religious Organisations and groups across the State.

Speaking during the distribution at Adeyi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja, Special Adviser to the Governor on Religion (Islam), Abdullahi Jebe noted that the bags containing Ten Kilogramme of Rice, Five Kilogramme of Beans and Five Kilogramme of Garri is being extended to the religious groups in the Five Divisions of the State in Ikeja, BADAGRY, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe.



In the same vein, Special Adviser to the Governor on Religion (Christian), Adebukola Adeleke said the distribution of Ten Thousand bags of the Ounje Eko has started to Christian organisations and groups across the Twenty Local Government and Thirty-seven Local Council Development Areas of the State.

On his part, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Adewunmi Ogunsanya commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for the intervention Programme to support the less privileged in the State.

According to him, the State has carefully taken the details of the would-be beneficiaries to ensure the palliatives get to the right people.
