NAWOJ Lagos State Congratulates Dr. Adeola Ekine On Her Appointment As Special Adviser To NUJ President.

The executives and members of NAWOJ Lagos State have congratulated Dr. Adeola Ekine, the immediate past Chairperson on her appointment as Special Adviser to the National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Comrade Alhassan Yahaya.

This is contained in a Statement signed by NAWOJ, Lagos Chapter Chairperson, Jumoke Falayi and its Secretary, Anu Thomas.

The event took place on Wednesday during the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Union held in Kano.

According to the Statement, Dr.(Mrs.) Ekine is a highly respected journalist and public affairs specialist with extensive experience in media and communication. 

Before her appointment as Special Adviser, she served as the  Chairperson of NAWOJ, Lagos Chapter, where  she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, dedication, and passion for promoting gender equality and empowering women in the media industry.

Other notable positions include Vice Chairperson and Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Lagos Information Chapel

She has also  received  Honorary Doctoral Fellowship Award from the Institute of Public Sector Management (IPSM) Led NAWOJ, Lagos Chapter, in paying a courtesy visit to several Public, Private and Cultural Organizations such as  the Oba of Ikateland, promoting collaboration with NAWOJ to advance journalism and women's empowerment.
